Holy Sh*t!!!!!!! [8/21/04 6:02pm] [ mood | accomplished ] [ music | The Strokes-Hard to explain ] HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!! wewll its been about 3 month since ive updated this journal... not thath any one cares , but ive been at the Univercity of Michigan all summer studying guitar classes, music theory, song writing classes , and even a video production class. I've learn sooooo much about writing . I 've met some of the most intense , nicest , radist people alive there and i miss all of them. Second off while i was there i continued singing as much as possible and formed bands there just to jam around. I've devoloped a lot over the last 3 months and porgress is being made. I've been working on 4 songs ....yes at the same time. All about differnt things that i encounted while in Michigan. I am soooooo proad of the stuff i've writen and i will continue doing so. Jeff (the other gutiarist in the project of mine) has been buissy all summer and been away alot .. but no worry we will pick up where we left off once the school year starts back up. I am going to try to get a sick going as soon as we decide on a name , but until then for all thsoe who care this is your source of news and info. Schools out for the summer ! [6/26/04 9:14am] [ mood | tired ] [ music | The Format-Give it Up ] WOW! Holy shit where did the year go? This school year came and went soo quikly (thank god) . There were alotta good things that happend this year. Just wanted to give the weekly update let you know whats new. First off i'd just like to mention the fact that the Vagas band THE KILLERS cd droped on tuesday , and everyone should check it out because they are amazing. BAck to me. Heres what ive been up to. I havnt gotten the chance to work all that much because finals blow and i have to study, but i did start a new song because i was getting frustrated with Make Like a Bridge..... but i will go back to it. The new song is yet titled , but i think i might called it "Grin and Bare it". What is it about some might ask. Well it's inspired by 2 of my friends having trouble coping with there relatioships with their signifigant other. In lamer terms its about my two girl friends dealing with their boyfriends bullshit. The first part i started writng about and its from my perspective trying to figure out what they see in him and why they waist there time. The chorus is writed from there eyes after they split up with their bfs and what their thinking. Corny? Maybe , but i really think this is one of my favorite songs ive written. Also in terms of getting this band together, im not sure when its going to happend but its going to happend. Jeff is really buissy with graduation parties , and ROB crashed his car (good job buddy haha ). No worries though i am continuing my job. ALSO, i am leaving for 6 weeks next sunday the 27th! I am going to continue my musical journy by taking guitar study workshops at the Univercity of Michigan. NO its not a band camp like many people think it would be , like in the movie America Pie (which would be rad as hell if it were lol). There i will be learning a lot and i will write more shit. Hopfully ill get more material by the time i get bak and also get alot of inspriation for song subjects. Thats about for now. First off i would just like to thank everyone who vistid this site , responded , it really means the world to me. It's been only a week or so since i last updated , but i figured i'd just give you guys another update. Well its been about three weeks since i first started my first voice lesson , and its going great .My teacher rules so that going great. Robs birthday was friday the 11th so that means he gets his licence and he can drive to practices!! I called jeff the other night and we all are super buissy with finals , summer plans and everything ,but we are going to get a practice going hopefully the 15th. I can't wait. As the summer is on the horizen i really want to record something just to have it to give out and just to have people give everyone a sneak peak of what the sounds gunna be like and such. Im still contemplating weather i should record with the other guys , but i think i really would want to. As of now i think im going to recording "She put the S.L in slaughter" which by the way i might be changing the title because of rescent events that took place between me someone else whos name im not mentioning. I think that song is deffently a great song to realese, also the fact that its completely done and everything i think that i might be calling producer Jesse Connon and trying to set up time. He worked with a lot of dope bands like The Cure, Allister,Perfuma, and loads more. But everything is very much so up in the air. I shall let everyone know wat i decide to do. Anyways i just wanted to give people some more info. Also this project will be put off a bit until aguest because im going to be going away! Where you might ask? Well im taking some guitar study workshops at Univercity of Michigen for 6 weeks. Now i know you might be saying why the hell would you want to take classes and do work during the summer. Welcome! [6/7/04 9:46pm] [ mood | satisfied ] [ music | The Stills-Fevered ] Ok.......Here's the Deal... well i should start off by saying :Welcome. After all this is temporaly going to be the window of infomation (until i get this band im trying to put together and get a real website) on whats going on in my life , but more importantly how this band is going. Who's in it , whats it all about, ect. To explain to you about this new band thats in the making i must explain how and why i am starting a differnt band. I guess it all began about 3 months give or take ago. I, as many of you mgiht have heard, use to be in a band called The Eightfold Path with friends John Fantozzi and Phil b. Now to clear rumors up , amoung my gay fucking school heres wat really happend. We started all the way back in October of 03'. John(drums) and I had been together playing in band together ever since 7th grade and we were using fill in bass players until we found a perminit member. THEN something great happened! Phil moved into our town commnig into freshmen year. Skippiing along now...we practice a lot blah , blah. Ne ways we all had differnt visions on what we wanted to do with the band. So we decided to go ways, but we still remian good friends. So thats wat happened. Ne ways now that im not in a band i decided to form a new one. As of now in my mind this new project i an indie rock,snyth infuced band. Within these three months i have been writing nad have a few songs down. Though this band is not an emo band i decided to title them in that fashion. The songs as of now are called "She put the S.L in Slaughter " "Make like a brige and get over it" "Song to settle the score" and a few others i have yet to finish. Well im getting off track heres wat im trying to get to....with this new project/band comes 2 members that in the commnig months i hope to recruite LOL. One of the members is a kid named Rob who plays guitar , and is from Rockaway. Another is anoterh kid named Jeff who lives in Roseland Nj. Jeff is a multi talented kid who is going to ither play bass and back up vocals, or paly keybaord or guitar we havnt decided yet. We are hopefully going to get together to practice and see what we have going. This band project is really exciting. Oh im forgetting to mention that I am going to play lead guitar or rythem and do lead vox. This band im taking really seriosuly and i am tkaing the neseraccary steps to get it where we want it to. But ITS ALL ABOUT THE FUN!!!! This is really what i want to do with my life. Some might ask"What if this band dosent work out?" well it dsoent matter ill go on by myself and record the songs i have done! No matter what this Im always going to play music. THATS about it for now. We're or me howver it works out are gonig to tryr to put out a demo around x mas time! I am also going to try to put up a site once isee whats going on with tis band. this site will have video clips of our progress and you can watch a new video every month to see how we're doing and what we're up to!
